SACRED RHYTHMS

  • It Won’t Stop…

For the past four years, I’ve been on a quest to merge my lifelong passion for music with a sustainable creative livelihood. As a kid, I’d belt out Will Smith’s Get Jiggy With It from the backseat of the car, and my afternoons were filled with cartoons like The Aristocats and Dumbo. Yet, nothing compares to the transformative power of my childhood church choir. I remember those Thursday nights when my father left for rehearsals, preparing to fill Sunday mornings with soulful song. Joining the junior choir was more than a pastime—it was where I first learned about the joy of community and the discipline of artistic expression.

Fast forward twenty years, and though the structured rehearsals have faded, the essence of that experience still resonates in every note I sing at home. Today, as I navigate an industry dominated by hip-hop, R&B, and pop—genres that often seem to celebrate fleeting trends over timeless expression—I can’t help but wonder: Where is the authenticity? How do we reclaim the soulful roots of music amid a landscape driven by commercial pressures and superficial narratives?

In Sacred Rhythms, I invite you to explore these questions with me. Together, we’ll dive into the intersection of spirituality, entrepreneurship, and the urban pulse that shapes our musical world. Let’s challenge the status quo and rediscover what it truly means to be moved by music.
